This grease surpasses to CIATIM-201 in chemical and colloid stability, water-resistance and anti-wear characteristics.

Petroleum transformer oil thickened with lithium soap of technical salomas and blackened asidol; contains viscous and extreme pressure additives.

It is put into effect by the resolution of the State Committee of standards of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of April 11, 1973 N 883.

The term limit was lifted under Protocol N 4-93 of the Interstate Council for standardization, Metrology and certification (IUS 4-94)

This standard applies to a plastic antifriction grease intended for lubricating mechanisms operating at high specific loads at temperature from minus 50 to plus 90 Celsius degree.

The grease designation in accordance with GOST 23258-78 is ILi 5/9-2.

1a. Safety requirement

1a.1. CIATIM-203 grease is a low-hazard product and according to the degree of exposure to the body in accordance with GOST 12.1.007-76, belongs to 4th hazard class.

1a.2 The grease is involatile, has a weakly expressed and rapidly passing irritating effect on the skin and mucous membranes of the eyes.

1a.3 The grease isn’t explosive, is a flammable product with the temperature of the flash of the grease base not lower 135 Celsius degree. When the grease ignites, are applied the follow fire extinguishing agents: sprayed water, technical steam, foam; in case of volumetric extinguishing: carbon dioxide, composition of the liquid extinguishing system, the composition 3,5.

1a.4 While operate with the grease should apply personal protective equipment according to the rules approved in the established order.

1a.5 In case of contact with the mucous membrane of the eyes, rinse the eyes thoroughly with water.

1a.6 The room where the work in carried out with the grease must be equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation.

2. Acceptance rules

2.1 CIATIM-203 grease is taken in batches. A batch is considered to be any quantity of grease produced during a continuous technological cycle, homogeneous on the component composition, quality indicators and accompanied by a single quality document.

2.2 The volume of samples is determined according to GOST 2517-85.

2.3 If unsatisfactory test results are obtained for at least one indicator, repeated tests are performed on a newly selected sample take from the same sample.

The results of repeated test are distributed to the entire batch.

2.4 The “penetration” indicator is determined with mixing and only when the grease is exported.

3. Test methods

3.1 Sampling is carried out according to GOST 2517-85. The mass of the combined sample is 3 kg.

3.2 To determine the appearance, the grease is applied with a spatula on the glass plate according to GOST 111-90 size 50x70x2 mm using a template (internal dimensions 35x35 mm, thick 1 mm) and viewed with the naked eye in passing light.

3.3 The corrosion test is carried out on copper plates grades M0k or M1k according to GOST 859-2001.

4. Packing, labeling, transportation and storage

4.1 Packing, labeling, transportation and storage of the grease is carried out according to GOST 1510-84 with the follow additions: the grease is packed in banks made of white tin with a capacity of up to 1 kg or, in agreement with the consumer, in cans of tin with a capacity of up to 20 kg.

4.2 The grease must be stored in the manufacturer’s container.

5. Manufacturer’s guarantee

5.1 The manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the grease the requirements of this standard if the storage and transportation conditions are met.

5.2 The warranty period for storing the grease in the manufacturer’s container is set at 5 years from the day of manufacture. After storing of the grease for more than 2 years, it is allowed of increasing the viscosity at minus 30 Celsius degree by 1000 P and the colloid stability by 3%.
