This standard applies on the CIATIM-205 plastic grease intended for sealing and preventing sintering of fixed threaded connections and seals contacting with aggressive environments and operate in the temperature range from minus 60 to plus 50 Celsius degree. In mobile threaded connections, the minimal temperature of the grease usage is minus 20 Celsius degree.

Safety requirement

 



1. Safety requirement

1.1 The grease is produced by thickening a mixture of medical oil Vaseline according to GOST 3164 and perfume ceresin according to GOST 2488 additionally purified and the basic physical and chemical indicators according to the following requirements:

The color – no more than 2,5 marks.

The depth of the needle penetration at 25 Celsius degree and a load 1 N – no more than 22 (0,1) mm.

The mechanical impurities contents – no more than 0,025%.

The acid number – no more than 0,05 mg KON per 1 g of ceresin or hydrotreated petroleum ceresin grades 80.

1.2 The grease must comply with the requirements of this standard and be produced according to the technology and from the raw applied in the development of prototype greases that have passed the tests with positive results and approved to use in accordance with the established order.

1а. Safety requirement

1a.1. According to the degree of impact on the body, the grease belongs to the 4th hazard class (GOST 12.1.007). The lubricant doesn’t have a toxic effect on the body, and also the skin and mucous membranes.

1a.2 The grease has a low elasticity of saturated vapors, that’s why dangerous concentrations to the body aren’t created.

1a.3 While operate with the grease must apply personal protective equipment according to the rules approved in the established order.

1a.4 The grease is combustible product of the IV group. In case of ignites, of the grease all fire extinguishing means are applicable, including finely dispersed water.

2. Acceptance rules

2.1 The CIATIM-205 grease is taken in batches. A batch is considered to be quantity of grease weighting up to 3 tons produced during a continuous technological cycle, homogeneous on the quality indicators and accompanied by a single quality document.

2.2 If unsatisfactory test results are obtained for at least one indicator, repeated tests are performed on a newly selected sample take from the same sample.

The results of repeated tests are distributed to the entire batch.

2.3 The volume of samples is determined according to GOST 2517.

3. Test methods

3.1 Samples are taken according to GOST 2517. For uniformed grease take 1.5 kg of grease.

3.2 When determining the appearance of the grease is applied with a spatula on a glass plate according GOST 111 size 50x70x2 mm using a template (internal dimensional 35x35 mm, thick 2 mm) and viewed with the naked eye in passing light.

3.3 To determine the acid number take 80 cm of an alcohol-gasoline mixture consisting of one volume of alcohol according to GOST 18300 and four volumes of gasoline according to legal and regulatory documents. The indicator – phenolphthalein, 1-% solution.

3.4 When determining the protective properties steel plates are additionally polished to mirror shine. On one the plate’s side is applied 0,6 kg of grease. Holding the plate with filter paper and a glass stick is rubbed over the entire surface in two perpendicular directions.

3.5 While determining of mechanical impurities contents according to GOST 6370, the mass of the lubricant is 25 g.

3.6 Determination of penetration is carried out with stirring without preliminary melting of the grease.

4. Packing, labeling, transportation and storage

4.1 Packing, labeling, transportation and storage of the grease is carried out according to GOST 1510 with the follow addition: the grease is packed to the banks made with tinplate with a capacity up to 1 kg.

It is allowed in agreement with a consumer, to pack of the grease in cans with a capacity up to 20 kg. Cans’ liners are sealed with solder POSSu 50-0,5; POSSu 40-0,5; POSSu 30-0,5; POSSu 30-2,0 according to GOST 21930 and GOST 21931. The grease must be stored in the manufacturer’s container.

5. Manufacturer’s guarantee

5.1 The manufacturer guarantees the conformity of the grease the requirements of this standard if the storage and transportation conditions are met.

5.2 The warranty period for storing the grease is 5 years from the day of manufacture.
